Company Profile

Product Description
Homogeneous PVC vinyl flooring is produced in several stages. First, the raw materials including limestone, polyvinyl chloride, plasticizers, stabilizers and pigments are thoroughly mixed. After mixing, the material is consolidated and formed into sheets. The sheets are then cooled and formed into rolls. Finally, it is packaged.
With advantages of high durability, low maintenance, scratch resistance, antibacterial and fungicidal treatment, it is a perfect choice for high-traffic areas such as hospitals, airports, stations, shopping malls, offices, schools, workshops, gyms, etc.

PVC Flooring Installation Process & Technical Requirements
1. Floor Inspection
a. Use a hygrothermograph to measure temperature and humidity. The indoor temperature and surface temperature should ideally be around 15°C, and construction should not proceed if temperatures are below 5°C or above 30°C. The recommended relative air humidity for construction is between 20% and 75%.
b. Use a moisture meter to test the moisture content of the substrate. The moisture content of the substrate should be less than 4%.
c. The strength of the substrate should meet the requirements of concrete strength grade C20 or higher. Use a hardness tester to ensure the surface hardness of the substrate is no less than 1.2 MPa.
d. The flatness of the substrate should have a height deviation of less than 5 mm over a 2-meter straightedge. If PVC flooring is to be installed directly without self-leveling compound, the height deviation of the substrate should be less than 2 mm.
e. Use a small steel hammer to tap the substrate surface and check for hollow spots; visually inspect the substrate surface for cracks.
2. Floor Pre-Treatment
a. Use a floor grinder with a power rating of at least 1800W, equipped with appropriate grinding discs, to perform a full-surface grind. Remove residues such as paint, adhesives, as well as raised and loose sections.
b. Clean the floor thoroughly using an industrial vacuum cleaner with a power rating of no less than 2000W.
c. For cracks in the floor, repair them using stainless steel reinforcement mesh and
polyurethane adhesive, followed by a quartz sand overlay. Hollow areas must be chipped away and repaired properly.
3. Self-Leveling Construction-Priming
a.Absorptive substrates such as concrete or cement screed should first be sealed and primed using a multi-purpose primer.
b.Non-absorptive substrates such as ceramic tiles, terrazzo, or marble must be primed with a dense (non-absorptive) primer.
c.If the substrate moisture content is too high (>4%) but immediate construction is
necessary, an epoxy-based primer may be used, provided the substrate moisture content does not exceed 8%.
d.The primer should be applied evenly without noticeable pooling. Once the primer has dried, the next step of self-leveling construction can proceed.
4. Self-Leveling Construction-Mixing
a. Measure the required amount of clean water according to the water-to-powder ratio specified on the self-leveling compound packaging. Gradually pour the self-leveling powder into the mixing bucket while stirring continuously.
b. To ensure thorough mixing, use a high-power, low-speed electric drill equipped with a specialized mixing paddle.
c. Mix until a uniform slurry with no lumps is achieved. Let the mixture stand for approximately 2 minutes for maturation, then briefly stir again.
Note: The water content must strictly adhere to the specified water-to-powder ratio (refer to the corresponding self-leveling product instructions). Insufficient water will affect
flowability, while excessive water will reduce post-curing strength.
5. Self-Leveling Construction-Application
a. Pour the mixed self-leveling compound onto the prepared floor and spread it evenly using a specialized self-leveling smoothing trowel (notched scraper) with the appropriate notch size.
b.Workers should then wear spiked shoes and gently roll a self-leveling bubble-release roller over the surface to remove trapped air, preventing pinholes and uneven joints.
c. After application, seal off the construction area immediately. Avoid foot traffic for the first
d hours and heavy impacts for 10 hours. PVC flooring installation can proceed after 24 hours.
e. In winter conditions, allow at least 48 hours of curing before installing flooring.
f. If fine grinding and polishing are required, perform them no earlier than 24 hours after self-leveling application.
6. Floor Installation - Pre-laying and Cutting
a. Both rolls and tiles should be acclimatized on-site for at least 24 hours to allow material memory recovery and temperature stabilization with the construction environment.
b. Use a specialized edge trimmer to cleanly cut and finish the rough edges of sheet flooring.
c.For tile installation, ensure tight seams with no gaps between adjacent pieces.
d.When installing sheet flooring, overlap seams by 3cm for proper overlap cutting. Maintain a single continuous cut through both layers.
7. Floor Installation - Adhesive Application
a.Select PVC flooring adhesive and appropriate trowel size based on product specifications.
b.For sheet installation: Roll back one end of the material, clean both subfloor and backing surface, then apply adhesive to the subfloor.
c.For tile installation: Fold tiles back from center to edges, clean surfaces, then apply adhesive.
d. Follow specific adhesive manufacturer's instructions as application requirements may vary.
8. Floor Installation - Debubbling and Rolling
a.After placement, use a soft-faced block to smooth surfaces and expel trapped air.
b.Roll entire area with 50-75kg steel roller, paying special attention to seam edges.
c.Remove excess adhesive immediately.
d.Allow 24-hour curing before proceeding with seam grooving and welding.
9. Floor Installation - Grooving
a.Groove only after full adhesive cure. Using professional grooving tools, cut seams to 2/3 material depth without penetrating backing layer.
b. Hand grooving tools should be used for terminal areas with matching depth/width specifications.
c.Thoroughly vacuum groove channels before welding.
10. Floor Installation - Welding
a. Perform with manual or automatic welding equipment.
b.Set welder temperature (typically 350°C) according to welding rod specifications.
c.Feed molten rod into grooves at consistent speed.
d.Partially trim excess rod during semi-cooled state using crescent knives.
e.Final trimming should occur after complete cooling.
11. Floor Maintenance
a.PVC flooring is designed for interior use only.
b.Implement regular cleaning using manufacturer-recommended solutions.
c.Prohibit high-concentration solvents (toluene, acetone) and strong acids/alkalis. Avoid abrasive tools or sharp implements that may damage surfaces.
